Dr Soujanya Gadde

Consultant Breast Radiologist, Nightingale Centre, MFT
I completed my radiology training in Manchester before taking up a consultant breast radiologist post at the Nightingale Centre in 2010. The Nightingale Centre is one of the largest breast imaging and screening centres in the UK, diagnosing over 900 breast cancers per year.

I am the Clinical Governance Lead, run the Peer Review programme in breast radiology at the Nightingale Centre, and the Rostering Lead, and managing an extremely complex multidisciplinary rota.

With a keen interest in education and training, I am the lead for the radiology arm of the National Breast Imaging Academy and run a successful breast radiology fellowship programme for UK and overseas trained radiologists.

I am currently a Clinical and Educational Supervisor and an Annual Review of Competency Panel member for the North West School of Radiology, whilst regularly teaching on the Manchester Medical School undergraduate breast teaching programme.

I am actively involved in research and her current projects include ABUS (automated breast ultrasound) and BRAID.

In addition to supporting LBCUK as a Medical Advisor, I am also a Medical Advisory Committee member for the Prevent Breast Cancer charity. I am particularly passionate about raising breast cancer awareness in the ethnic minority population and regularly undertake work to promote this.
