Come along to our second free Lobular Breast Cancer Research Partnership Day on Friday 24 January at The Christie hospital. Learn together with patients, health professionals and researchers about Lobular and how to get involved in improving outcomes for everyone affected by this distinct disease.
The day will explore:
- the importance of partnership and patient advocacy involvement in research;
- the challenges of diagnosing, imaging and monitoring Lobular Breast Cancer;
- current Lobular Breast Cancer treatments;
- the psychological impact of a Lobular diagnosis on patients;
- the patient experience of being diagnosed and treated for Lobular;
- ILC research being conducted in Manchester and research updates from 2024’s International ILC Symposium;
- the opportunity for informal networking between patients, health professionals and researchers.
The event has been developed by and involves representatives from The Christie, Lobular Breast Cancer UK, Manchester Breast Centre, The Nightingale Centre Wythenshawe Hospital and the University of Manchester.
