Last year’s first “Walking our Mammaries” event in 2022 raised over £12,000. 8 women, all with a lobular diagnosis, walked up mountains named after breasts in the Scottish highlands.

On Saturday 21 May, our final day of the walk, we were joined by our family and friends to summit Mam na Gualinn, a 796m high mountain in the Mammores (Gaelic for big breasts). As you can see from the picture above it was a very wet and windy day at the summit but we all got there together.

Walking our Mammaries 2023 Challenge 

This year, we’re organising a smaller in person challenge in the Peak District. Over the weekend of 13 – 15 October, 14 women will walk 15km around the hills of Edale.

Walk your own mammary mound or mountain 

You might prefer to create your own challenge for Lobular this summer and walk a mammary mound or mountain of your choosing. We’ve launched a virtual Walking our Mammaries fundrasier that ends on 30 September where you simply pick a hill or mountain near you that looks or sounds like a boob.

Organising your own fundraiser

If you have ideas for a specific fundraising activity, we can support you and celebrate your success. It might be running the Manchester Marathon, taking part in the Kiltwalk or doing your longest swim in a lake in Wales,

Donate to Us

If you want to make a donation to us, thank you. Your support helps us to make a difference in the lives of people affected by lobular breast cancer. Please use our online donation form.

This enables us to claim Gift Aid which makes your donation go further. Gift Aid does not cost you anything. Simply, if you are a UK Tax payer, the Government adds a further 25%. So if you donate £10, it becomes £12.50 with Gift Aid.
