Get Involved With Research

Get Involved

One of our aims at LBCUK is to increase the understanding of lobular breast cancer and improve the treatment and outcomes for people diagnosed through the disease, ensuring that everyone lives and lives well.

We commit to helping everyone understand more about research and there will be opportunities for you to learn more about and get involved with different types of research, for example take part in a trial, or work alongside a researcher in undertaking a piece of research.

If you are interested in taking part or have any questions about research, please email us at research@lobularbreastcancer.org.uk

What research do we need?

Help us to identify the most pressing concerns of people diagnosed with lobular breast cancer in the UK meeting our commitment to putting patients first in all we do at LBCUK.

Two of our Trustees Dr Helen Coultard and Dr Lorna McHattie (both who have had a lobular breast cancer diagnosis) have developed a research study working with health psychologists Dr Kerry Quincey and Dr Iain Williamson at De Montfort University in Leicester to find out what research people diagnosed with lobular breast cancer what to see being conducted.

If you are at least 3 months past your initial diagnosis, were or are being treated in the UK, are over 18 years of age and can respond online, please find out more about getting involved by downloading more information here.
