Terms & Conditions for London Marathon Silver Bond 2027

By accepting a Silver Bond Place in the 2027 TCS London Marathon with Lobular Breast Cancer UK, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
You must have your fundraising page set up on Enthuse or JustGiving (or similar fundraising platform) by 31st January 2027
You commit to raising a minimum of £2,700 in sponsorship, excluding Gift Aid and matched funding:
– 50% of this target (£1,350) should be raised by 2nd March 2027
– 75% of this target (£1,935) should be raised by 26th April 2027.
– Your fundraising should be completed up to eight weeks after The TCS London Marathon.

You agree to send all sponsorship monies to Lobular Breast Cancer UK by 22nd June 2027. You will keep the names and addresses, together with the amount given or pledged offline by your sponsors and provide this information to Lobular Breast Cancer UK, so that we can re-claim any eligible Gift Aid.

You agree to pay our registration fee of £100 when requested, so that we can begin your entry process with The TCS London Marathon. This fee is non-refundable and cannot be used towards your sponsorship total.

Only once you have paid the registration fee, will your place be confirmed. Once this payment has been processed, you will receive your unique online link, in order to officially complete your entry to The TCS London Marathon. Failure to make payment of the registration fee and/or complete the official online entry will result in your place being void.

When you register and confirm your Silver Bond place, you are required to comply with the Terms and Conditions as set by the TCS London Marathon. These will be sent to you by the event organisers and include the obligations and liabilities that you have towards each other.

Your Silver Bond place is exclusively for you and is non-transferable. You may not offer your place to someone else, under any circumstances. This will result in a breach of both Lobular Breast Cancer UK and The TCS London Marathon’s terms and conditions and your place will be cancelled.
You understand that by offering you a Silver Bond place, we are not obliged to reserve a place for any of your family or friends, who may also have applied.

The Silver Bond place that we have offered you has been purchased at the expense of Lobular Breast Cancer UK, for the sole purpose of raising funds for our charity alone. Therefore, failure to commit to raising the minimum sponsorship amount will be at a loss to the charity.
Lobular Breast Cancer UK reserves the right to revoke a Silver Bond place at any time, in exceptional circumstances, should we consider that you are not actively fundraising and demonstrating commitment to the sponsorship pledge.

Should you decide for any reason to decline this Silver Bond place, you agree to advise us immediately in writing. If you withdraw before the registration deadline, we will endeavour to re-allocate your place to another runner.

We review any requests to defer a Silver Bond place on an individual basis. All requests must be made in writing, in order for them to be reviewed and no requests are guaranteed.

For any independent fundraising events that you carry out, you acknowledge that you are carrying such events out in your own capacity. You will be responsible for organising all aspects of the event in aid of Lobular Breast Cancer UK and we will not accept any liability for any such event.

You acknowledge that you will be contacted via email, phone and post in relation to this specific event, ensuring we can deliver the administration and communication required.

We will not use your data in any other way, unless you agree.
The information you have provided will be treated confidentially and we will only share necessary details with the third party organiser, in order to enable your successful participation in the event.

You acknowledge that any photography and/or film footage taken as part of your participation in the event can be used for promotional and marketing purposes for this event and any future Lobular Breast Cancer UK activity.

You are participating in The TCS London Marathon at your own risk. Lobular Breast Cancer UK will not be held responsible for any injury or illness resulting from you taking part in this event. You are responsible for your own safety and to undertake suitable and required training to prepare yourself appropriately. If you are concerned at any time regarding an injury or your general health, you should consult your GP or another health care professional, as necessary.

You understand that Lobular Breast Cancer UK is not responsible for the organisation or management of The TCS London Marathon event.
