TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SHEULTRA 2027

Please read the following Terms and Conditions relating to taking part in the SheUltra as part of Lobular Breast Cancer UK’s team.

Force Majeure Clause  

– The organizers are not liable for any cancellation, postponement, or modification of the event due to circumstances beyond their control, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, pandemics, or other unforeseen events.  

Age Restrictions  

– Participants must meet the minimum age requirement (e.g., 18 years old) to register for the event.  

Medical Fitness  

– Participants are responsible for ensuring their physical fitness and health are suitable for the event. It is recommended to consult a doctor if in doubt.  

– Any relevant medical conditions must be disclosed during registration to assist with first-aid treatment if necessary.  

Photography and Media Consent 

– Participants consent to the use of event photographs, videos, or recordings for promotional purposes.  

Event Rules and Conduct

– Participants must adhere to all event rules and instructions provided by staff and volunteers.  

– A zero-tolerance policy for abusive or disrespectful behavior towards staff, volunteers, or other participants.  

Refunds for Event Cancellation  

– In the event of cancellation, organizers may offer partial refunds or alternative options, such as entry to a future event.  

Fundraising

If you are successful in joining Team LBCUK in the SheUltra, you must commit to raising a minimum of £250.

– A non-refundable registration fee of £25 is payable to confirm your place if you are selected. Places will not be confirmed until after this payment is received.

Environmental Responsibility

– Participants are required to follow Leave No Trace principles and dispose of waste responsibly. 

Bib Swaps 

– Bib swaps are subject to a **£25 administrative fee**.  

– Bib swaps will not be processed within **8 weeks prior to the event**, due to scheduling constraints.

Pre-Event Recommendations 

Accommodation: Book your accommodation well in advance to avoid disappointment.  

Mandatory Kit: Purchase your mandatory kit early and train with it to ensure familiarity. 

Safety Measures & Supporter Guidelines 

No-Crew Policy: SheUltra™ is strictly a no-crew, no-pacers, no-joining-for-a-few-miles event. This policy ensures:  

   – Safety: Medical teams can focus solely on registered participants.  

   – Smooth Logistics: Resources are coordinated for registered individuals only.  

   – Fairness: Participants can relish the achievement of completing every step independently.  

Supporters are welcome and encouraged to cheer at the designated finish area to celebrate your achievement.

Event Amendments or Cancellation

– The organizers reserve the right to amend, cancel, or reschedule the event at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, safety concerns, or other logistical reasons.  

– Participants will be promptly informed of any changes, along with guidelines on refunds or alternative options, as applicable.
