This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in the leadership and decision making of our small but mighty charity. We are the only UK charity solely focused on improving outcomes for everyone with a Lobular Breast Cancer diagnosis.

We are looking for individuals who can help us to continue improving our work, challenging how we do things, and who want to make positive change in the lives of everyone affected by Lobular.

As a volunteer led charity, we need people who are enthusiastic, committed and willing to take an active role in developing and delivering our work.

You do not need to have Trustee experience nor lived experience of Lobular. But it is important that you align with our core values and strategic aims, and that you can bring relevant skills and experiences to our Board. We are particularly committed to diversifying our leadership and encourage people from ethnically diverse communities, with lived experience of metastatic Lobular, or live in Northern Ireland or Wales, to apply, but welcome ALL applicants.

Some of the specific skills and experience we require include:

  • communications, especially working with the media;
  • experience in campaigning and the changing of Health Policy and Treatment Guidelines;
  • digital and data skills, strategy and leadership, including AI adoption, collecting and utilising data, GDPR and cyber security;
  • health economics.

More details on the role and how to apply can be found in the downloadable Trustee Recruitment Pack. Click on the button below to access the pack.

Our Co-Chair, Anne Carey, is also available for informal chats and to answer any questions. Details on how to contact Anne are in the pack too.

We ask all applicants to please complete our anonymous online Equality Monitoring form to help us improve the diversity and inclusion across our charity.
