Everyone can join in LBCUK’s virtual
Walking our Mammaries fundraiser.
July – September 2023
Taking Part
We’ll connect everyone through social media, the hashtag #WalkingOurMammaries, and our JustGiving Walking our Mammaries Virtual Summer Campaign page.
Getting involved is really easy and you can choose the right size of challenge that is best for you.
There is no minimum funding requirement.
If you raise £100 you will receive a LBCUK pin badge or raise over £300 and we’ll send you a LBCUK t-shirt.
Pick A Walk
First, simply pick your own mountain or mound to walk up or around…it can sound like, be named after or simply look like a mammary.
There are lots to choose from including:
– Shuttlingsloe in Cheshire;
– Whittenham Clumps in Oxfordshire;
– Twmbarlwm in South Wales;
– the Paps of Anu in Ireland;
– or “Bennachie” (Beinn na Ciche: ‘hill of the breast’ in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Or simply pick a hill or mountain near you that looks like a bit of a boobie mountain.
If you’re further afield there are the Marens Patter (Maren’s Tits) in Denmark or Nippletop in the Adirondacks in the US.
If you like your walking a bit easier, you could even take a stroll around Manchester, whose name comes from the Celtic for “breast shaped hill”.
Complete your walk anytime between the start of July and the end of September 2023.
