Could you volunteer your time to support our work?
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with our small but mighty charity. We are the only UK charity solely focused on improving outcomes for everyone with a Lobular Breast Cancer diagnosis.
We are looking for individuals who can help us to continue improving our work and who want to make positive change in the lives of everyone affected by Lobular.
As a volunteer led charity, we need people who are enthusiastic, committed and willing to take an active role in developing and delivering our work. We particular want to ensure representation across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales too so we can meet the growing needs of individuals and our partnerships across the UK.
We are looking for volunteer involvement in the following areas:
- experience of providing administrative and/or secretarial support;
- understanding and/or experience in changing Health Policy and Treatment Guidelines;
- assisting with the running of Lobular patient support groups;
- experience in writing funding bids to trusts and foundations, and getting involved in fundraising.
Why volunteer for LBCUK?
Every day in the UK, 22 people are diagnosed with Lobular Breast Cancer. It’s the 6th most common cancer in women in the UK yet it is an under-studied and misunderstood disease that needs better research and treatments.
By volunteering, you’ll be helping to make a real difference to everyone affected by Lobular. We want volunteering to be a rewarding, enriching and enjoyable experience and we will provide you with the right support.
