Why run for Lobular Breast Cancer UK?

Every day in the UK, 22 women are diagnosed with Lobular Breast Cancer. Despite making up 15% of all breast cancers diagnosed, Lobular is under-studied and rarely recognised as a distinct and different disease. Our #DistinctlyLobular campaign aims to change that.

At LBCUK we work to save more lives by unlocking the challenge that is Lobular Breast Cancer. Working together, we can all lives.

By running the TCS London Marathon 2027 for us, you’ll be helping to raise vital funds to help us advance education and understanding of Lobular Breast Cancer, support people with Lobular to become their best advocate, work with researchers and clinicians to ensure that research conducted for Lobular meets the needs of patients and to change UK wide policy and treatment guidelines that recognise Lobular as a distinct disease.

Got a ballot place?

If you entered the London Marathon ballot and were lucky enough to get a place, please consider running for LBCUK.

The more runners we have, the more we can raise knowledge and understanding of Lobular Breast Cancer.

Let us know you’d like to run for us with your ballot place by emailing fundraising@lobularbreastcancer.org.uk and we’ll send you a running vest.
